Richard Ovenden is the senior librarian for the Bodleian Libraries at Oxford University. He has previously held roles at Durham University Library, the House of Lords Library, and the National Library of Scotland. He was awarded an OBE in 2019. Currently, Richard is writing a history of the deliberate destruction of knowledge.
