David Taylor focuses on literature and culture of the long 18th century, and he particularly focuses on theatrical culture. He completed his undergraduate degree at St Andrews and completed his masters and PhD at Cambridge University. After this he taught at Toronto University and Warwick University. Presently David is a professor and tutorial fellow at St Hugh’s College, Oxford. He teaches on literature from 1660-1830 and on Shakespeare. His latest project examines questions of visuality and spectacle.
